The world is already terrified after the massive earthquake that struck Turkiye and Syria last month, and natural disasters have struck many countries worldwide since then. Strong earthquake tremors were felt in New Delhi, Punjab, and other parts of North India on Tuesday night around 10:17 pm, with the epicentre 90 kilometres from Kalafgan, Afghanistan.

According to reports, the 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck Turkmenistan, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The tremors, which lasted nearly a minute, were felt across northern India, including Uttarakhand, J&K, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.

Netizens, as usual, reacted quickly. They shared pictures of the incident on the microblogging site Twitter. Some even shared amusing memes.

The tremors were felt in several northern and central Indian states. People were seen outside their homes with their children in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and some cities in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

People living in skyscrapers fled in fear as their buildings shook in the aftermath of strong tremors in several cities in India and Pakistan. People gathered outside their Delhi-NCR apartments. Metro services in Delhi-NCR have been suspended as a precaution.
