Hindu Temple Vandalised With 'Hate-Motivated Graffiti' In Canada. Police Say 2 Suspects Wanted

<p>Another incident of vandalisation of a Hindu temple has come forth in Windsor, Canada where two masked persons are involved in spraying 'hate-motivated graffiti' on the exterior wall of the temple building, local police said. Windsor police tweeted a video in which one of the two masked persons could be seen spraying graffiti on the outer walls of a Hindu temple.</p> <p>"Two suspects wanted for hate-motivated graffiti." the tweet read. Officers discovered anti-Hindu and anti-India graffiti sprayed in black on an exterior wall of the building."</p> <p>"Through investigation, officers obtained a video that shows two suspects in the area just after 12 a.m. In the video, one suspect appears to commit the vandalism on the wall of the building while the other keeps watch," the Windsor police stated.</p> <p>Elaborating on the details of the suspects, the police said, "At the time of the incident, one suspect wore a black sweater, black pants with a small white logo on the left leg, and black and white high-top running shoes. The second suspect wore black pants, a sweatshirt black shoes, and white socks."</p> <p>Asking locals to check their home surveillance cameras, the police urged, "Residents in the immediate vicinity of the temple are encouraged to check their home surveillance or dashcam video footage between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. for evidence of the suspects."</p> <p><a title="READ FULL POLICE STATEMENT HERE" href="https://ift.tt/IW2GLzA" target="_blank" rel="noopener">READ FULL POLICE STATEMENT HERE</a></p> <p>Earlier on 15th February, the Consulate General of India in Toronto condemned the defacing of Ram Mandir in Mississauga with anti-India graffiti. The consulate tweeted that it has requested the Canadian authorities to investigate the incident and take prompt action against the perpetrators.&nbsp;</p> <p>&ldquo;We strongly condemn the defacing of Ram Mandir in Mississauga with anti-India graffiti. We have requested Canadian authorities to investigate the incident and take prompt action on perpetrators,&rdquo; the tweet read.&nbsp;</p> <p>According to PTI, the temple was defaced by 'Khalistani extremists' with anti-India graffiti in an apparent hate crime. &nbsp;</p> <p>"Vandalism occurred overnight (February 13th) at the Shri Ram Mandir in Mississauga, Ontario Canada. We at the Ram Mandir are very disturbed by this occurrence and we are working with the appropriate law enforcement authority on this matter," PTI quoted the Facebook page of the temple as saying.</p>
