West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sang a song in tribute to Rabindranath Tagore at Trinamool Bhavan in Kolkata on the occasion of Rabindranath Jayanti. In a first, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs, MLAs, and office bearers sang 'Tagore Songs' on Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary on Tuesday (May 9). Her statement, made on the birth anniversary of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, was a veiled attack on Union Minister Amit Shah, who had visited the state the day before and paid tributes to the eminent author.
