This comes after an Air India flight was forced to make an emergency landing in the remote Russian town due to a technical issue on Tuesday. "Flight AI173D from Magadan, Russia (GDX) is now airborne for San Francisco (SFO), carrying all passengers and crew. The team in San Francisco is prepared to provide all necessary assistance to the passengers, including but not limited to medical care, ground transportation, and onward connections in applicable cases, as per the airline.<br /><br />Flight AI173 from Delhi was diverted to Magadan in Russia on Tuesday owing to an engine glitch, the Tata Group-owned private carrier said in a statement.</p> <p>An entirely different place, no knowledge of the language, unfamiliar food, and uncertainty - this was the situation of 216 passengers who were onboard the Delhi-San Francisco flight that made an emergency landing in the Russian town of Magadan on Tuesday.
