<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra on June 14 to inaugurate significant landmarks in Mumbai and Pune. During his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Jagadguru Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Temple in Dehu, Pune. Sant Tukaram was a 17th century Warkari saint and poet known for his devotional compositions and community-oriented worship. Jal Bhushan, the official residence of the Governor of Maharashtra since 1885, has been reconstructed after reaching the end of its lifespan. The new building, whose foundation stone was laid by the President of India in August 2019, preserves the distinctive features of the old structure.</p> <p>The Gallery of Revolutionaries, developed in a renovated bunker within Raj Bhavan, serves as a unique museum commemorating the contributions of freedom fighters and revolutionaries from Maharashtra. It celebrates historical personalities, such as Vasudev Balwant Phadke, the Chapekar brothers, the Savarkar brothers, Madam Bhikaji Cama, and VB Gogate. 'Bombay Samachar' started as a weekly newspaper on July 1, 1822, under the editorship of Fardunjee Marzbanji and later became a daily publication in 1832.
