<p>The Delhi Police is likely to file the chargesheet in the sexual assault case against president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Thursday. Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Thakur had last week assured protesting wrestlers that the Delhi Police has been asked to file the charge sheet by June 15. The sports minister has so far agreed to one of these demands — that of withdrawal of FIRs. Brij Bhushan Singh on Sunday announced that he plans to run for the Kaisarganj seat in the Lok Sabha elections next year.</p> <p>Brij Bhushan has consistently denied the allegations, asserting that Congress leaders from Haryana conspired against him due to his reforms as the WFI chief. During his rally speech, he proclaimed the BJP's inevitable return to power in the 2024 elections, while criticizing the Congress party.</p>
