Follow this space for all the breaking news and latest information from India and around the world.</p> <p><strong>Second Joint Opposition Meeting In Bengaluru From Today</strong></p> <p>The meeting of opposition parties called by the Indian National Congress (INC) will be conducted in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18.&nbsp;This will be the second opposition meeting after the one convened by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in Patna on June 23.</p> <p>According to sources, the leaders are likely to hold discussions on issuing a joint declaration and move forward on their proposal of putting up common opposition candidates in a majority of the Lok Sabha seats.</p> <p>The agenda for the talks would be finalised during discussions before a dinner meeting on Monday evening, they said.</p> <p>The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will attend a meeting of opposition parties in Bengaluru to chalk out a joint strategy to take on the BJP unitedly in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, party leader Raghav Chadha announced on Sunday.</p> <p>After a meeting of the AAP's highest decision making body -- political affairs committee (PAC) -- at party national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence here, Chadha also welcomed the Congress' decision to oppose in Parliament the Centre's ordinance on the control of administrative services in Delhi.</p> <p>"The Aam Aadmi Party's political affairs committee met today and held an extensive discussion. On the party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal's call, TMC, RJD, JD(U), DMK, BRS, NCP, SP, Shiv Sena (UBT), CPI, CPI(M), JMM &ndash; all these parties raised their voice against the black ordinance and assured of their support in defeating (the bill on it) in Parliament,&rdquo; he said.</p> <p><strong>Monsoon Session Of Maharashtra Assembly Begins Today</strong></p> <p>The monsoon session of the Maharashtra Assembly will start today. The Opposition camp including Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and the NCP (Sharad Pawar group) on Sunday boycotted the customary tea party hosted by the Maharashtra government on the eve of the state legislature's monsoon session.</p> <p>The tea party was attended by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and other Cabinet colleagues, including newly-inducted Deputy CM Ajit Pawar of NCP and ministers from his camp.</p> <p>Earlier in the day, a meeting was organised by the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Ambadas Danve, who belongs to Shiv Sena (UBT), which was attended by Congress legislative party leader Balasaheb Thorat and Nationalist Congress Party's Jayant Patil.</p>
