Please follow this space for all the breaking news and latest updates from India and around the world.</p> <h3><strong>MoS Muraleedharan To Embark On A Two- Day Official Visit To Syria Today</strong></h3> <p>Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs V Muraleedharan will pay an official visit to the Syrian Arab Republic from 12-13 July 2023. This will be the first Ministerial-level visit from India to Syria since August 2016. During his visit, the Muraleedharan is likely to meet the Syrian leadership in Damascus.</p> <p>"During the visit, MoS is likely to meet the Syrian leadership in the capital Damascus for wide-ranging discussions. He will also interact with a group of Syrian students who have studied or are proceeding to study in India under Govt of India's scholarship scheme," the Ministry of External Affairs said in an official release on Tuesday.</p> <h3><strong>Schools, Colleges Likely To Remain Closed Today In Telangana</strong></h3> <p>In view of the bandh called by the All India Students’ Federation (AISF), schools and colleges are likely to remain closed today. However, no official notification has been made in this regard till now.</p> <p>Telangana student organisations are protesting a number of irregularities in the institutions, such as exorbitant tuition fee, a lack of infrastructure, and more. Earlier, on June 26 the ABVP had called for a band. Now the All India Students’ Federation<br />has decided to protest against the illegal fee exploitation.</p> <h3><strong>75th Emmy Nominations </strong></h3> <p>The highly-anticipated nominations for the 75th Emmy Awards will be announced today. According to PTI, the nominations for awards will be live streamed on Lionsgate Play's YouTube channel on July 12 at 9 pm.</p> <p>"It’s a milestone year for the Emmys and we are planning to take things a notch higher with the nominations being live streamed on our YouTube platform. It’s an exciting event for fans, and we would like to keep up the spirits to ensure the best viewing experience,” said Amit Dhanuka, Executive Vice President at Lionsgate on Tuesday.</p> <p> </p>
