'Cow Vigilante' Monu Manesar To Be Brought From Rajasthan To Haryana On Oct 7: Police

<p><strong>New Delhi: </strong>A Haryana court on Tuesday issued a fresh production warrant against cow vigilante and Bajrang Dal activist Monu Manesar, who is currently&nbsp;in judicial custody in Rajasthan, in an attempt to murder case, news agency PTI reported citing a police official.</p> <p>Monu Manesar &mdash; booked by the Rajasthan Police for the killing of two Muslim men and accused by some of inciting the recent violence in Haryana&rsquo;s Nuh &mdash; was nabbed by the Haryana Police on September 12.</p> <p>As per the news agency, the court had earlier issued a production warrant for September 25 but the Haryana police had on Monday said they could not bring Monu from Rajasthan as the security escort was not available. The police then moved a fresh request in the court.</p> <p>&ldquo;We got the production warrant for Monu Manesar and will bring him on October 7. He will be produced in a Pataudi court,&rdquo; Manbir Singh, DCP of Manesar, said on Tuesday, according to PTI.</p> <p>Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar is currently lodged at the Ajmer high-security jail in connection with the abduction and killing of Nasir (25) and Junaid (35), whose charred bodies were found in a vehicle on the Rajasthan-Haryana border after they were allegedly abducted by some vigilantes who accused them of cow smuggling.</p> <p>Monu was&nbsp;taken into custody by Haryana Police in Gurugram's Manesar on September 12 in connection with an incendiary social media post on August 26.</p> <p>He was later handed over to the Rajasthan Police after it obtained a transit remand from a court in Nuh.</p> <p>Monu Manesar was also accused by some of being a trigger for the July violence in which a VHP procession was targeted by mobs in Nuh -- leading to the deaths of six people in that district and neighbouring Gurugram.</p> <p>Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar is the leader of a cow vigilante group in Haryana's Mewat district. He has been in charge of the Bajrang Dal's campaign against cattle smugglers in Haryana and Rajasthan.&nbsp;</p>
