BGMI Esports: India-Korea Invitational Concludes As DPLUS KIA Dominates

A first-of-its-kind Esports celebration, the India-Korea Invitational, organised at Delhi's Pragati Maidan reached its exciting conclusion on the third and final day on Saturday. The three-day tournament organised by Krafton witnessed eight Indian and Korean teams going head-to-head against each other in Esports titles like BGMI, Road To Valor: Empires, and Real Cricket. The venue clocked over 12,000 audience during the three-day event which served as a platform for both nations to come together over a common passion of gaming. Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal also arrived at the venue on Day 3 to show his support for the growing industry. 


The Korean Embassy in India tweeted, "Ambassador Chang Jae-bok joined the BGMI Official India-Korea Invitational Event on October 26th. Two Nations, One Passion! He enjoyed the games and the event by Krafton, a Korean company. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Let's go!"

Senior government officials and key dignitaries showed up at the three-day event to extend their support to this cultural and competitive fusion. Korean Ambassador to India, Chang Jae-bok, Nivruti Rai, MD and CEO of Invest India, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Indian national football team goalkeeper, and Yuzvendra Chahal, Indian cricketer were some of the prominent names that stood witness to the rise of Esports in this tournament.

The event was hosted by Krafton and it stood as a testament to its commitment to nurturing and celebrating India's Esports community while contributing to its recognition and growth on a global scale.


The Invitational was broadcast on the KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS Youtube channel and on JioCinemas in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali, Mizo, Kannada, Tamil, Gujarati and Telugu.
