'If I Signal...': Akbaruddin Owaisi 'Threatens' Cop For Flagging Poll Code Breach — WATCH

All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has allegedly threatened an a police officer after he was asked to conclude his speech on time as per the Model Code of Conduct. Owaisi asked the officer to leave the spot immediately and said that just a signal to his supporters would result in the police official running. The AIMIM leader was addressing a public gathering in the Lalitbagh area of Telangana's Hyderabad when the incident occurred.


During his address, Owaisi said, "Do you think that after facing knife and bullets I got weak? There's a lot of courage left in me. Five minutes are still left for my address and I will address those five minutes. No one has the guts to stop me. If I signal then you (Police Inspector) will have to run. Shall we make him run?"

Akbaruddin Owaisi, brother of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, is a candidate from the Chandrayangutta constituency - an AIMIM stronghold from where the party has won the past two elections.

Telangana is set to go to polls in a single phase on November 30 and the counting of the votes for the state along with other four poll-bound states will also be done on December 3.
