PM Modi Begins Jharkhand Visit With Grand Roadshow In Ranchi Amid Tight Security — WATCH

<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated a 10-km roadshow in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Tuesday evening as part of his two-day visit to the state. The roadshow, which commenced around 10 pm, saw tight security arrangements, with thousands of people lining up along the route to greet the Prime Minister. Security measures were heightened due to the PM's visit.</p> <p>The roadshow prompted traffic restrictions along the route from the airport to Raj Bhavan, taken by the PM, from 8 pm to 10.30 pm, news agency PTI reported. On Wednesday, he will also launch the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,' release the 15th instalment of Rs 18,000 crore under the PM-KISAN scheme, and inaugurate projects worth Rs 7,200 crore in the state.</p> <p>On Wednesday morning, Modi will visit the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park-cum-Freedom Fighter Museum in Ranchi. He will then proceed to Ulihatu village, the birthplace of Birsa Munda, in Khunti district, where he will pay floral tributes to the freedom fighter. Modi is set to participate in a program marking the third 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas' in Khunti, launching the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' and 'Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups Mission.'</p> <p>The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to create awareness and provide benefits of welfare schemes to tribal populations, covering all districts in the country by January 25 next year. Modi will also launch the Rs 24,000 crore PM PVTG Mission, offering essential facilities to remote PVTG habitations.</p> <p>Additionally, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects in rail, road, education, coal, petroleum, and natural gas sectors, with a total investment of around Rs 7,200 crore.</p> <p>After the event, Modi will return to Ranchi and depart for Delhi on Wednesday afternoon. Traffic restrictions and security measures have been implemented in light of the PM's roadshow and visit. Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed to regulate public gatherings, considering the proposed stir of the State Level Panchayat Swayam Sevak Sangh, PTI reported.</p>
