The first round of discussions on seat sharing between DMK and Congress will be held on Sunday at DMK Headquarters in Chennai. The Congress is likely to give a list of 21 preferable constituencies in Tamil Nadu to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2024 in the meeting.
At first, the senior Congress leader Mukul Wasnik will hold a discussion with State leaders. Later, the Congress leaders will meet the DMK Seat Sharing Committee at Anna Arivalayam.
Earlier in the day, the news agency ANI reported that amid the ongoing developments in the INDIA Alliance, the first round of discussions on seat sharing between DMK and Congress will be held on Sunday at DMK Headquarters - Anna Arivalayam - in Chennai.

The Congress team will meet the seat-sharing panel constituted by the DMK on Sunday. The DMK panel includes of Parliamentary Party leader T R Baalu, former Higher Education Minister K Ponmudy, ministers K N Nehru, I Periyasamy, and M R K Panneerselvam and MPs, A Raja, and Tiruchi Siva.
Earlier, media reports suggested that Congress is expecting the DMK to stick to the 2019 seat-sharing formula under which the party got nine seats in Tamil Nadu and the lone Lok Sabha seat in Puducherry.
