Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued clear instructions to officials on Friday, emphasising the importance of stringent security measures and proper arrangements to ensure the dignified participation of VIPs in the Ram Temple consecration ceremony scheduled for January 22 in Ayodhya.
During his visit, Adityanath emphasised the importance of assigning a liaison officer to each VVIP attendee and recommending individuals with a thorough understanding of the mythological, historical, and geographical significance of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagya for key roles, urging counselling for all involved.
In addition to supervising the ceremony, the Chief Minister, who visited the Hanuman Garhi temple and prayed at the Ram temple for Uttar Pradesh's prosperity, expressed his desire to make Ayodhya a model for cleanliness, safety, and service.
Adityanath, on his third visit to the temple town in 11 days, took part in worship ceremonies, inspected the temple grounds, and reviewed the ongoing preparations for the historic occasion. He directed officials to set up a 24-hour active call centre for communication with VVIPs and recommended developing a six-month action plan to ensure devotees' convenience in Ayodhya Dham.
Anticipating potential disruptions in normal traffic, the Chief Minister directed officials to avoid shortages of essential commodities for Ayodhya residents during the consecration ceremony. He emphasised the importance of ongoing communication and coordination with invitees and deployed personnel, as well as maintaining a 24-hour active call centre staffed by courteous employees.
Recognising the presence of both central and state security agencies, Adityanath directed officials to make adequate arrangements for their stay and food, emphasising strong security measures against external and internal threats.
With an expected influx of devotees after January 22, Adityanath urged officials to assess the situation over the next six months and develop an action plan. He emphasised the importance of inter-district and inter-state police coordination to prevent inconveniences for devotees.
Following the consecration ceremony, the Chief Minister announced that Uttar Pradesh government ministers would meet to worship Shri Ram Lalla on February 1. He urged officials to complete pending route works, provide adequate amenities, and keep the area around Ayodhya Dham Railway Station and Maharishi Valmiki International Airport clean in order to ensure a positive experience for all visitors.
Recognising the global attention on Ayodhya, Adityanath emphasised the police's role in shaping the state's image, urging personnel to seek counselling. He viewed the long-awaited ceremony as an opportunity to highlight Uttar Pradesh's hospitality culture and urged public participation.
During his visit, the Chief Minister inaugurated a solar boat service on the Saryu River, took part in the Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate Shri Rambhadracharya's 75th birthday, and attended the 1008 Kundiya Hanuman Mahayagya. The events began on January 14 and will continue until January 22.
