SP leader Azam Khan has decided to boycott the current elections. He has asked SP President Akhilesh Yadav to take a decision regarding the current elections in Rampur. He has appealed to Akhilesh Yadav to contest elections from this seat. Azam Khan said, "The process of Lok Sabha elections is going on. Rampur elections are in the first phase itself. Everyone's eyes are on the announcement of the candidate. We have also been a participant in the election process for the last 40-50 years, but elections have never been before us, rather the future of the poor, labourers, youth and especially the future generations has always been the aim/objective of our politics and life and our entire life is about this. We have worked hard to achieve the objective. Today we are being punished for the same.
