This announcement comes amidst the fervor of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, reported ANI.</p> <p><strong>Priyanka Gandhi To Hold Roadshow, Address Rally In Tripura On April 16</strong></p> <p>Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is scheduled to address an election rally and participate in a roadshow in Agartala on April 16, a party leader said on Friday. The April 16 event would be the INDIA bloc's first major Lok Sabha poll campaign event in Tripura.Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and former minister Sudip Roy Barman said that they were not getting sufficient vehicles to transport party supporters from far-flung areas of the state as vehicles were booked already by other parties.In view of the transportation related problems, we are unable to organise a big gathering in Agartala where Priyanka Gandhi can address the people. But she would address a small gathering in Agartala during the roadshow, he told the mediapersons, as per PTI.</p> <p>Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed election rally in Agartala on April 17, Roy Barman said that he was confident that sufficient vehicles would be available for the ruling BJP on that day.The ruling side always has an advantage. We had enquired, but several vehicles were booked for campaigning. Often, they (transport operators) return advance money even after taking orders for vehicles, said Roy Barman, a sitting Congress MLA.Meanwhile, the Congress leader compared the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with 'Dharmayuddha', saying 'dharma' and 'nyay' would eventually triumph.</p> <p><strong>Will Announce Ludhiana, Jalandhar Candidates On April 16: Punjab CM</strong></p> <p>Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will announce its Lok Sabha candidates for Ludhiana and Jalandhar on April 16, AAP Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Wednesday.The AAP has already announced nine Lok Sabha candidates in Punjab. In its first list, the party announced Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer as a candidate from Sangrur, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal from Amritsar, Laljit Singh Bhullar from Khadoor Sahib, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian from Bathinda, Gurpreet Singh GP from Fatehgarh Sahib, Karamjeet Anmol from Faridkot and Balbir Singh from Patiala.The party is fielding five cabinet ministers.In its second list, the party announced its chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang as a candidate from Anandpur Sahib and Raj Kumar Chabbewal from the Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha seat.</p> <p>In its third list on April 16, the party will announce two more candidates taking the total to 11 out of 13.Jalandhar is the Scheduled Castes reserved seat that comprises nine assembly constituencies. During the 2022 Punjab assembly elections, the AAP won from four constituencies, but just a year ago in the Jalandhar by-poll, the Aam Aadmi Party registered a thumping victory by the margin of more than 58,000 votes. Since then the party has only become stronger on this seat.</p>
