Silvassa: In An open park, Live 500 Animals Belonging To Different Species Of Deer | ABP News

More than 500 animals belonging to the Deer family live in the Satmalia Deer Sanctary, an open park in the union territory of Dadra Nagar and Haveli. Among the various types of Deer here, include, Nilgai, Sambhar and the Spotted Deer. The open park is spread over more than 300 acres of land. "The total area is 310 acres. The forest animals here include three different types of deer - Spotted Deer, Sambhar, and Nilgai. Spotted Deer, these are 372 and 159 Sambhar, three Nilgai, two of them are female and one is male.." says In-charge, Satmalia Deer Sanctuary. An estimated 80,000 tourists visit the Deer park every year. Visitors can either chose to trek around the forests, or take a bus ride through the park.
