Glaciers are melting, transportation, industries, fossil fuel burning, and stubble burning are causing air pollution, sea levels are rising, rendering people living in coastal regions vulnerable. The urban heat island effect is exacerbating heat waves. The lives of millions are threatened, and hence, it is important to find effective water management strategies, pollution control techniques, climate-resilient practices such as drought-resistant crops, alternatives to stubble burning, and materials that can be used for cooling infrastructure.
