Please follow this space for all the breaking news and latest updates from India and around the world.</p> <h3>NEET-UG Row: 1,563 Candidates, Who Got Grace Marks, To Appear For Re-Test Today</h3> <p>The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is under fire over the irregularities in conducting NEET and UGC-NET, is slated to conduct a retest for the medical entrance examination on Sunday for 1,563 candidates. These candidates are the ones who were awarded grace marks, in order to make up for their loss of time at six centres, PTI reported.</p> <p>Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court on Saturday dismissed a petition filed by three medical aspirants, who wished to appear for NEET UG, re-test on June 23. They had filed the petition on the ground of loss of time, However, High Court rejected their request, holding that there was no merit or substance in their petition.</p> <p>The petitioners claimed they suffered because of loss of time during the exam held on May 5 for which they were neither compensated with extra time nor awarded any grace marks.However, the high court noted that they were already allowed extra time at the examination centre as the question paper given to them initially had to be replaced</p> <h3>Union Home Minister Amit Shah To Review Flood Preparedness, Rain-Related Issues Today</h3> <p>Union Home Minister Amit Shah will review preparedness to deal with floods and rain-related issues today. Various parts of the country including Bihar, Assam, and other eastern states, are inundated due to rise in water level during the monsoon, news agency PTI reported.</p> <p>A home ministry official told PTI that Amit Shah will chair a high-level meeting on Sunday, to review the overall preparedness for flood management in the country.</p> <p>"Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and a few other states also encounter landslides and other rain-related issues during the monsoon.Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Jammu and Kashmir have also seen floods in recent years. Currently, Assam is facing floods with around 3.90 lakh people affected in &nbsp;19 districts, officials said. The death toll in this year's flood, landslides and storm in the has reached 37, while one person is missing," they said.&nbsp;</p>
