<p>In a major revelation, a sting operation conducted by ABP News has unveiled disturbing details surrounding the Kolkata rape-murder case linked to RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The investigation has exposed significant lapses and potential corruption within the institution, with allegations implicating former principal Dr Sandip Ghosh.</p> <ul> <li>Dr Reena Das, a forensic expert at RG Kar Medical College, was initially hesitant to speak but later disclosed alarming details. According to her, external legal and medical staff, including a lawyer, were present at the crime scene, a situation she found highly irregular. "Initially, everyone was stopped, but many people came, including officials from Swasthya Bhawan. Sushant Roy, among others, was there&mdash;people who shouldn't have been at the crime scene. Dr Reena Das described Som as holding considerable influence, stating, "Debashish is the demonstrator in my department, forensic medicine. He has the reins of power and this is why he has become the advisor of Dr Sandip Ghosh. Sandip Ghosh follows whatever Debashish tells him to do."&nbsp;</li> <li> <p>Dr Reena Das continued to express her concerns, saying, "Sandip Ghosh created a syndicate, and students and teachers were disobeyed, threatened, and kept under constant pressure. He maintained a significant level of mental stress on everyone, from students to the Head of Departments."</p> </li> <li>ABP News' sting operation additionally revealed malpractices related to the handling of dead bodies that came for postmortem at RG Kar Medical College.&nbsp;<br /><br />The significant revelation came from Somnath Das, a former forensic expert at RG Kar Medical College, who was transferred from RG Kar in 2023. He said that he was the first to file a written complaint against Dr Sandip Ghosh, alleging misconduct. He also revealed that dead bodies, meant for post-mortem, were being used for unauthorised workshops. "The dead bodies that came here for post-mortem were used for workshops. For instance, once a workshop was conducted regarding ENT, which created a huge uproar in the medical college. Despite all this, the government took no action against him," he remarked.<br /><br />"He thought he was the boss, he acted like a mafia," Somnath said.<br /><br /></li> <li>Debashish, a close aide of Dr Ghosh, disclosed, "I saw... the bodies of five people were taken from here (the college)... a workshop was held." He too claimed that bodies that arrived for post-mortem were misused, and several complaints against Dr Sandip Ghosh were systematically ignored.<br /><br /></li> <li>Dr Akhtar Ali, formerly the deputy superintendent at RG Kar Medical College and now stationed in Murshidabad, alleged that Dr Sandip Ghosh was backed by powerful political figures. "Dr Sandip has both money and power. The Chief Minister is promoting him," Dr Ali stated.</li> </ul>
