The Ministry of Health issued a notification under Section 26A of the Cosmetic Act 1940, prohibiting the manufacturing, sale, and distribution of these drugs effective immediately. The banned drugs include Assalol Fanic 50 mg plus Paracetamol 125 mg tablets, Mephenamic Acid plus Paracetamol injection, and Filoprin HCL plus Paracetamol. Combinations of Paracetamol, Tramadol, Torine, and Caffeine are also prohibited, with Tramadol's opioid content being a key factor. The bans target drugs with inadequate testing or health risks, following earlier bans in 2016 and 2020.
