6.4-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Southern Taiwan

<p>A mountainous area of Taiwan's south near the city of Chiayi on Tuesday (local time) was hit by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake, according to the island's weather administration.</p> <p>As per the report by Reuters, the administration further confirmed that the quake shook buildings in the capital, Taipei, with reports of initial minor damage. It added that the earthquake had a depth of 9.4 km (6 miles) with its epicentre in Dapu township.</p> <p>The fire department reported that two individuals sustained injuries in a damaged building in Tainan city.
