Check Delhi-NCR Traffic Plan For Republic Day As Border Entry To Be Restricted On Jan 26, Know Routes To Avoid

<p><strong>Republic Day 2025: </strong>The Delhi Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory for the Republic Day celebrations, outlining restrictions and diversions across several key roads. Entry at the city&rsquo;s borders will be restricted from Saturday evening. Apart from border restrictions, diversions will be in effect on roads leading to the parade route from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort. The advisory mentions that traffic restrictions on C-Hexagon will begin after 9.15 pm on Saturday. &nbsp;</p> <p>According to the advisory, the Republic Day parade will commence at 10.30 am from Vijay Chowk and proceed towards Red Fort, following Vijay Chowk, Kartavyapath, C-Hexagon, the roundabout of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's statue, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhas Marg, and Red Fort. Additionally, no cross traffic will be permitted on Kartavyapath at Rafi Marg, Janpath, and Man Singh Road from 10 pm on Saturday. &nbsp;</p> <p>On Sunday, C-Hexagon to India Gate will be closed for traffic from 9.15 am until the parade crosses Tilak Marg. From 10.30 am onwards, vehicular movement will not be allowed in both directions on Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, and Netaji Subhas Marg, with cross traffic permitted only based on the movement of the parade. &nbsp;</p> <p>The police have advised road users to plan their journeys in advance and avoid the parade route from 9.30 am to 1 pm to prevent inconvenience. However, no auto-rickshaws or taxis will be allowed to enter or ply after 7 am on Sunday in the area bound by Mother Teresa Crescent, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Ashoka Road (up to Patel Chowk roundabout), Sansad Marg, Kasturba Gandhi Marg (up to Ferozshah Road), Ferozshah Road (up to Mandi House roundabout), Bhagwan Dass Road, Mathura Road, Subramanian Bharti Marg, Humayun Road, APJ Abdul Kalam Marg, Kemal Ataturk Marg, and Kautilya Marg. &nbsp;</p> <p>City bus movements will be curtailed at several points, including Park Street/Udyan Marg, Aram Bagh Road (Paharganj), Kamla Market roundabout, Delhi Secretariat (IG Stadium), Pragati Maidan (Bhairon Road), Hanuman Mandir (Yamuna Bazar), Mori Gate, ISBT-Kashmiri Gate, ISBT-Sarai Kale Khan, and Tis Hazari Court. &nbsp;</p> <p><img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://ift.tt/VNU0ypm" /></p> <p>Buses from Ghaziabad bound for Shivaji Stadium will be rerouted via National Highway-24, Ring Road, and will terminate at Bhairon Road. Meanwhile, buses heading towards Ghaziabad will be diverted at Mohan Nagar towards Bhopra Chungi for Wazirabad Bridge. &nbsp;</p> <p>No heavy transport, medium goods, or light goods vehicles&mdash;except those involved in essential services&mdash;will be permitted to enter Delhi from 9 pm on Wednesday until the parade concludes. &nbsp;</p> <p>The police advisory urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any unidentified objects or suspicious individuals to the nearest police personnel. &nbsp;</p> <p>Additionally, the flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms, including para-gliders, para-motors, hang gliders, UAVs, UASs, microlight aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small powered aircraft, quadcopters, or para-jumping activities, will be strictly prohibited over Delhi&rsquo;s jurisdiction until February 1, the police stated.</p> <p>"We have made a detailed traffic plan according to which from 9 pm on Saturday (January 25), the entry at the bordering areas will be restricted and only essential vehicles will be allowed. This restriction will be in place till the parade gets over," Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) DK Gupta told PTI Videos.</p>
