<p>A court in Delhi has reserved the order on FIR against Delhi Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra to investigate his alleged role in the 2020 Delhi riots case. </p> <p>Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Vaibhav Chaurasia reserved the order on Thursday following an investigation which revealed that a "plan was hatched to shift the blame on Mishra," reported PTI.</p> <p>The judge heard the arguments on a plea filed by Yamuna Vihar resident Mohammad Ilyas, seeking lodging of an FIR, which was opposed by Delhi Police, claiming that Mishra had no role in the riots.</p> <p>The police submitted that Mishra's role was investigated in the FIR and linked to that larger conspiracy surrounding the Delhi riots. </p> <p>Appearing for the Delhi Police Special Cell, Special Public Prosecutor Amit Prasad submitted that the chakka jams were planned "well in advance." </p> <p><strong>ALSO READ | <a href="https://ift.tt/xvAX1or" target="_blank" rel="noopener">'DK Shivakumar Might Be Congress's Eknath Shinde': Karnataka BJP's R Ashoka Says Leadership Change Inevitable</a></strong></p> <p>"The chats of the DPSG (Delhi Protest Support) group show that the chakka jams were planned well in advance, as early as February 15 and 17, 2020. The police investigation had revealed that a plan was hatched to shift the blame on Mishra," the prosecution told the court.</p> <p>The petitioner has sought a direction from the court to register an FIR against Mishra, the then SHO of Dayalpur and five others, including BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht and former BJP MLAs Jagdish Pradhan and Satpal Sansad.</p> <p>The court has granted five days to Special Public Prosecutor Amit Prasad to file a soft copy of the investigation report/ATR of case FIR No., 59/2020, Police Station Crime Branch. </p> <p>The complainant filed the petition through advocate Mahmood Pracha and argued that on February 23, 2020, he saw Kapil Mishra and his associates blocking the road in Kardam Puri. It has been claimed that senior police officers were standing there with Mishra. </p>
