The Lok Sabha speaker will be elected by consensus. The chances of election for the post of Speaker are considered very less. According to sources, the opposition will not field candidates. The opposition is waiting for the name from the ruling party to come forward for the post of Speaker. According to sources in the opposition alliance, if the government takes the initiative, the opposition can agree to decide the speaker by consensus. The government is continuing its efforts to create a consensus for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
