“What kept him away?” asks Tejasvi Surya as Rahul Gandhi remains absent from MP Oath Ceremony

BJP Leader Tejasvi Surya took oath as a member of parliament at the 18th Lok Sabha session on June 24. Later while addressing the media, the BJP MP lashed out at Rahul Gandhi for missing the inaugural day of the 18th Lok Sabha. He also hit out at the Grand Old Party and accused them of not obeying the constitution on a regular basis. After not being able to agree on the post of Lok Sabha Speaker, the opposition has announced its candidate. K Suresh will be the candidate for the post of Speaker of the Opposition. On the other hand, Om Birla has filed nomination for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker on behalf of NDA.   The election of Lok Sabha speaker is to be held on Wednesday. This will be the first time in the country when elections will be held for the post of Speaker. Till now the speaker was elected by the consensus of the ruling party and the opposition. But this time this tradition seems to be breaking.
