In light of recent political and social developments in Maharashtra, a crucial meeting of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will be held at Uddhav Thackeray's residence, 'Matoshree.' Scheduled for noon, the meeting will include prominent figures such as Sharad Pawar (NCP President), Nana Patole (Congress State President), and Sanjay Raut (MP). During the meeting, discussions will focus on the state’s recent political and social issues, with particular emphasis on law and order, women's safety, and recent serious incidents, including the Bhadkalpur case and rising atrocities against women. A key topic will be the collapse of the recently installed statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort in Malvan. The opposition has criticized the statue’s construction, alleging it was poorly built, leading to its collapse shortly after its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The MVA is planning statewide protests over this issue. Additionally, a march in Malvan, featuring leaders like Sharad Pawar, Jayant Patil, Vijay Wadettiwar, Ambadas Danve, Aaditya Thackeray, Vaibhav Naik, and Vinayak Raut, is also on the agenda. Prior to the meeting, Congress leader Satej Patil visited the Rajkot Fort to inspect the site where the statue fell.
